Anotec was founded in 1996 in order to serve the Belgian market with cathodic protection systems and materials. From 1996 to 2002 the first phase of growth was based on excellent service to oil and gas distribution companies and to industry plants. In 2002 the disinfection market was added to Anotec’s corrosion business. Indeed, a lot of corrosion issues in industry plants were also coping with bacteria problems. 2004 was the year of the introduction of the legionella treatment in hospital and nursing buildings.
The company still remained in a unique position in the cathodic protection market all that time. The inflow of spontaneous demands from abroad (France, UK, Spain, Russia,...) has been switched since 2005 into a well structured sales approach. The company’s aim is to remain a leader in this corrosion market for the next decade as well as to establish much more export oriented activities.
